Concussions • A clinical syndrome characterized by immediate post-traumatic impairment of neural functions • Disturbs normal brain function • Occur as a result of a direct blow or sudden snapping of the head forward, backward, or rotating side to side

Signs • Appears dazed • Confused • Forgetful • Unsure • Clumsy • Answers questions slowly • Loses consciousness • Behavior or personality changes • Retrograde amnesia • Anterograde amnesia
