Works – Relocation of fibre ducts • Optical fibre ducts (Ø40mm, grey) with optical fibre cables inside • Optical fibres are part of control & communication (C&C) networks • Works executed during YETS in 1st half of 2018 • No interruption of network services was required • The ducts were relocated for the whole section of the tunnel in each area (P5R, P1L, P1R) over a length approx. 150m each. • Future works • A new relocation of C&C ducts is foreseen in LS3 which will also include a further study taking into account also the other civil engineering works to be done in those areas and the Beam Instrumentation ducts.
