Warning on 24th June 2007 Weather forecasters warned people across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire that they may face more flooding. Predictions of very heavy rain were forecast for almost 24 hours non-stop across the whole area. Forecasters said up to four inches (100mm) of rain may fall, which could cause flooding to already saturated areas.
Forecasters said June's average rainfall of about 50mm could fall during a period of 24 hours, with up to 75mm in some places, and severe flood warnings are in force in many areas.
