  2. Your Basic Formula • Paragraph #1 • Who are you? • Example: I am currently a Business Education student at DeForest High School in DeForest, Wisconsin. Our Word Applications class is currently learning how to write business letters. My assignment is to write a letter of request to someone whom I admire, in hope of acquiring two autographed pictures. I hope to hang one of the pictures in my home and the other picture will be framed and hung in my teacher’s classroom.

Part of the reason I am interested in pursuing a career in business is because of you. **You continue this paragraph, informing person why you look up to them or why you enjoy their work.
