Students’ perspective • G8 students ranked the transition program #1 – their favorite PSE activity this year! It was interesting to see what we'll be doing next year. It was a fun experience. I wondered if they only did tests and independent work in the high school, but when we visited the classrooms we did fun things too. The teachers were really enthusiastic in the High School and [I liked the building] - it looks like an easy place to study. Asking questions to the student panel was really helpful and made me feel relieved.
The counselors were nice and their session was helpful. The students gave us really useful information about next year. The counselors were clear and answered our [last] questions about high school. The time with the counselors was very helpful. It was fun to order food off-campus!

Curricular support • Curriculum content and instruction should challenge each individual student to be successful • Academic rigor increases appropriately from G8 to G10 • To prepare for transition b/w MYP and IBDP (from G10 to G11) • Exams at end of each year • Homeworkshould be relevant and manageable • An extension of class work (lots of use of Moodle online learning tool) • Approximately 1.5 to 3 hoursper night • Study skills: Use Naviance system to assess individual learning strengths and improve time management • PSE lesson: Find a time management system that works for you! • PowerSchool: Parents can access student’s weekly schedule, attendance records and assessment achievement levels
