2011 Accomplishments . Two Analysis completed Higgs  π v π v  Accepted for publication in PRL March 2012 The analysis focused on the muon spectrometer and required that both π v ’s decay in the MS Made use of vertexing algorithm and required at least one reconstructed vertex

  1. 2011 Accomplishments • Two Analysis completed • Higgs  πv πv  • Accepted for publication in PRL March 2012 • The analysis focused on the muon spectrometer and required that both πv’s decay in the MS • Made use of vertexing algorithm and required at least one reconstructed vertex • Displaced muon jets from light Higgs decays to dark photons • PLB draft currently awaiting final editorial board approval after which it moves to collaboration review H V Group Meeting - Planning for 2012 Cosenza 26,27 April 2012

  3. 2011 Accomplishments • PYTHIA6 Problem • Long-range color connections • Delayed Higgs  πv πv  analysis • Reduced MC events increased uncertainty for trigger efficiency plot • HV Triggers • Required constant vigilance and periodic modifications –thanks Antonio • DESD • Worked well but required lots of interfacing with the SUSY DESD group – thanks Orin and Gordon H V Group Meeting - Planning for 2012 Cosenza 26,27 April 2012

  6. 2011 Accomplishments • What worked in MS analysis of (H  πv πv) – PRL paper • MS vertex a powerful tool for reducing triggers from di-jet punch through • Requiring two vertices in MS further (not two triggers) reduced backgrounds • Data driven di-jet background studies • MS vertex and trackless jet in CAL or ID in Dan Ventura’s thesis • Extends exclusion range to smaller proper decay lengths H V Group Meeting - Planning for 2012 Cosenza 26,27 April 2012
