What Is An Automatic Pill Dispenser? • A machine that offers automated dispensing of solutions/medications to meet the specific needs of patients • A product which reminds the user what time the specific pill has to be taken • 24/7 access to medications
How Does The System Work? • Nurse puts in a security code • Selects patient’s name from list • System automatically checks the prescription for allergies, interactions, and appropriate dosage • If correct, drawer opens • Medication is dispensed
