“SHIRP …. does not replace any of the existing regional health libraries, academic libraries or other entities within the province. Rather, it serves to gather and present the most valuable electronic information and knowledge resources and services to a shared clientele in a more systematic and cost effective manner. Rollout Phase 1 (2003/2004) • UofS online resources supplemented Phase 2 (2004/2005) • 3 major HRs get access to subset of UofS resources + funding for additional library staff Phase 3 (2005/2006) • Subset access for the other 10 HRs Phase 4 (2006/2008) • Subset access for independent practitioners, health students/faculty at SK post-secondary institutions, & health–related provincial gov’t departments
