Complete the Presentation Cycle • The process of preparing a presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint generally follows a presentation cycle.
Use an Installed Template To start Microsoft PowerPoint 2013: • At the Windows 8 Start screen, click the PowerPoint 2013 tile. PowerPoint 2013 tile

Plan a Presentation Consider the following basic guidelines when preparing the content for a presentation: • Determine the main purpose of the presentation. • Determine the output. • Show one idea per slide. • Maintain a consistent design. • Keep slides easy to read and uncluttered. • Determine printing needs.
Open a Presentation To open a presentation: • Click the FILE tab. • Click the Open option. • At the Open backstage area, click the desired location in the middle panel. • Click the Browse button. • At the Open dialog box, double-click the desired presentation. Open option
Navigate in a Presentation To navigate in a presentation using the mouse: • Click the Next Slide button or Previous Slide button on the vertical scroll bar.
