Tuesday: Ugleklubben is inside, yellow and red ladybirds are outside Wednesdays we are outside or have play groups inside. This day is the meetingday for the educators and kids are often outside or on a trip with the others in the department. Thursday: Ugleklubben is outside and gule and rødemarihøner is inside Friday is what we call “lekedag”. The kids can bring one toy from home, that they choose and are responsible for. We do not accept weapon toys, musical instruments or bikes for safety reasons. Parents can check in the kids need more clothes

  5. ”Valg” • We have “valg” after the third meal. Here, children can choose for themselves what they will want to play with based on images on a magnetic board.Activities could be: drawing, coloring, painting, jigsaw puzzles, playing, pearl, make pearl jewelry, play in the playroom, playing with cars, reading books, playing with the animals or “cut and glue”

  6. Language stimulation • We have language stimulating sessions each day, each lasting between 15 and 20 minutes. We divide the group of children in 4 every time as long as we are 4 adults at work. Monday's we talk about what we see, hear, feel when we are outside. In each language session, we start with a song "What day is it today."We vary between reading a book, for example drum syllables in children's names, practicing the names of the different colours, Kim's game, prepositions, song and language games.

  7. Ugleklubben • Ugleklubben is school preparation for the oldest children at the day care center. We get to know the letters of the alphabet, numbers, practicing clapping syllables, writing and going on trips where we focus on traffic safety. Children are also allowed to have recess alone for 10 minutes, but within such a range that they can be seen from the department. Children who are Ugler this year is: Heine, Emilio, Thor Christer, Hanne, Alicia, Alma, Oda and Lana

  8. Gule and røde marihøner • These are the other two groups which we split the kids in.Røde Marihøner: Elliot, Kari, Jonas, Sofus, Aurora and LasseGule Marihøne: Mia, Iben, Jakob, Elias, Karsten, Semira, Erena, Emma and Shani Thomaz

  9. Clothes • Mark all clothing and shoes! On the shelves, it is important that you always have at least one full change of clothes from the inside and out.Are you bringing wet clothes home, bring new shift the day after On the west coast we often need clothes for several seasons at the same time…Go through the shelves every Friday and check what is needed.Let the kids dress themselves. It's good exercise

  10. Food • A nutritious lunch and extra fruit/vegetables is good for active children! They need healthy energy in long day care days. It's good if chocolate spreads, biscuits, juice and such can be left at home.In our department, the children allowed to bring yogurt. We have room in the refrigerator to keep it cold Let the children practice make their own lunch/food

  11. Sickness • We don’t measure fever, but we go after the children's general condition. Should the child be here, they must therefore be well enough to follow the daily rhythm. If your child requires medication, we see this as so important, and we want to ensure that this is carried out properly. Therefore, we want the parents to do this at home (with the exception of asthma for example). We do not provide paracetamol, ibux etc.)If your gets diarreah or pukes they have to be symptom free for 48 hours before they can come back.By chickenpox, they can come back after the fever is gone and the rash is drying up.

  12. Enviremental awareness • At Marihønene we have a sorting station for garbage. There are plastic buckets with picture of witch that should be thrown into it. Children sort and throw trash yourself. They know how to dispose food waste, youghurt cups (plastic), paper, mackerel cans (glass and metal) We focus on organic food and healthy eating. Every other Friday the day care center provide organic food (hot meal) from scratch. This process is kids a part of. The children have been to peel vegetables and look at how such a salmon looks like before it is ready to be eaten. We will also start having learning sessions where we will focus on takeing special care of the envirement.
