  1. Building a Trebuchet Definitions

  2. Copy the following terms into your journal. Leave about 3 lines between each one. • Newton's first law of motion • Centripetal force • Centrifugal force • Centrifical force

  3. A body remains at rest or in motion with a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force Newton's first law of motion • Or a body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by another force.

  4. Centripetal force • Moving or directed toward a center or axis

  5. Centrifugal force • Moving or directed away from a center or axis

  6. Centrifical force • Not a word

  7. Copy the following terms into your journal. Leave about 3 lines between each one. • Projectile • Counterweight • Trajectory • Trigger

  8. Projectile • A fired, thrown, or otherwise propelled object, such as a bullet, having no capacity for self-propulsion

  9. Counterweight • A weight used as a counterbalance

  10. Trajectory • The path of an object or moving body through space

  11. Trigger • The lever used to release or activate a mechanism

  12. Simple Machine • A machine with few or no moving parts. Simple machines make work easier.

  13. Levers

  14. Wheel and Axle

  15. Incline Plane

  16. Wedge

  17. Pass out stuff! Screw Machine
