GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING YOUR PERSONAL TESTIMONY • Remember That Your Testimony is Important. • Be Prepared for Opportunities to Share It. • Keep It Short and Simple. • Keep It to the Point. • Give Adequate Details.

GETTING IN THE DOOR • Knock Firmly. • Step Back One Step After Knocking. • Introduce Yourself and Other Team Members. • Call the Person by Name. • State the Name of Your Church and Purpose of Your Visit. • Ask Permission to Come In.
IF NOT INVITED IN • Ask Permission to Come Back At a More Convenient Time. • If Reply Is Positive, Make an Appointment. • If Reply Is Negative: • Ask for Permission to Leave a Booklet. • Point Out Features of the Booklet. • Thank the Prospect for His or Her Time.
THE GUIDED CONVERSATION Purpose • Allows Us to Become a Friend to the Person by Getting to Know Something About That Person and Showing a Personal Interest. • Helps Us to Determine the Spiritual Condition of the Person. • Provides a Smooth Transition into the Gospel Presentation.

VISITATION INSTRUCTIONS • Each Team Makes Two Visits. • Determine Who Will Present the Gospel on First Visit. • Other Team Member Will Present the Gospel on Second Visit. • Return to Church for Sharing Time.(Approximately Two Hours After Leaving Church.) • Agree on a Time You Will Visit Next Week.
