  2. NHS NHS is founded in 1999. The largest confederation in Croatia 130.000 members Affiliated to the ITUC and ETUC Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (NHS)

NHS – Youth Committee • Established in 2006 • 20 active members – shop-stewards from trade unions affiliated to the NHS • At least 4 meetings per year • Coordinator of Youth Committee is a member of NHS Governing Body – the highest decision making body Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (NHS)

  4. Youth Committee • The main aim of the NHS Youth Committee: Make a positive picture oftrade unions by informing youngpeople about TU’s work and all the benefits they will have once they join a trade union Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (NHS)

The way we work • Lack of understanding for youth in general by government and media, who are dealing with “bigger issues” • Education activities - seminars, work-shops, etc. • Organizing young members in branch trade unions • Promoting the interests of young workers at all levels Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (NHS)
