Bogs, Mountains and lakes Oh My! • Rugged coast lines, Low mountains as the border of the country. • Lakes and Bogs as the interior of the Island. • No part is more than 70 miles from the coast • Because of the lush and rain, they have a lot of farming. • They have a lot of minerals in the mountains, so some people mine in the mountains

  3. Economy • 8% is Agriculture • They have industry's, technology Sectors, and other well developed businesses • They are a Developed country • They have a relatively high GDP per capita • Literacy rate in both genders is almost 100% • They have a high standard of living

  4. Things you should know! • GDP per Capita= $41,700 • Literacy Rate= Men- 99% Women- 99% • Life Expectancy= Men- 74 Women- 79 • Unemployment rate= 14.6% • Poverty Rate- 5.5%

Their version of Aeropostale • They wear very conservative clothes out in public • If you were to go there, you would see must about everyone wearing a sweater due to the harsh climate. • Not only do people just have to wear sweaters because it is cold, but due to the rain and wind, they have to wear rainwear just about everywhere they go.

  6. Who’s Hungry • They have traditional Food restraints that are Family owned like Farmhouse restaurants and Tea Kitchens • Potatoes are a very important part in Their culture. • They eat some very unique foods like Colcannon, lamb, and pig feet.

  7. What do you Believe? • 88% of the population is Roman Catholic • 3% go to the Anglican Church • The remaining 9% either have various other beliefs, or they have no belief at all.

  8. Not just Paint • Writing is most likely the most popular Art They have. • Family's tell old stories to each other • They also enjoy Knitting and Embroidery

  12. Hello! Aloa! Bonjuer! • The most common language is Irish Gaelic • They also study English • They do that so the English people can understand them • All signs have both Languages(Irish Gaelic and English) on them Irish Gaelic writing

How did Ireland affect the Us? • After always being accused for having a poor industry and infrastructure, in 2004 Ireland announced plans to invest 5% of it’s Gross National Product for the next several years for creating and repairing transportation. • This affects the US because they are import partners with Ireland, so since Ireland imports the needs for building and repairing transportation, the US will be selling lots of goods to Ireland
