What is this? The North American Industry Classification System or NAICS (pronounced "nakes”) is used by business and government to classify business establishments according to type of economic activity (process of production) in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Why do we need this? It is critical that you know how to identify your product or service to the US Government. Why? If the US Government does not know what you can provide, how will they know if you can meet their needs? -This is a crucial stop, as we will refer to this location later on this presentation.
