  2. Agenda • Reading syllabus together (10 minutes) • Marshmallow Challenge Team Building Activity (30 minutes) • Create classroom philosophies (10 minutes) • Homework: Marshmallow Challenge writing • ---Take home parent letter to be signed and returned on Thursday, August 14th

  3. Parent Letter & Syllabus • Please read along and pay attention to what is in the syllabus and class expectations! • Please take home the parent letter, have your parents read it, and you should probably read it as well  • There are also copies of this on My Big Campus. • Be sure to hand back syllabus-class set only.

  5. Classroom Philosophies • Half sheet of paper • Write down five common values (one word please) you have this year for both students and teacher in this classroom. Do this independently on your half sheet of paper. • Examples: Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation, Consideration, Trust, Kindness, etc. • With your group, compare expectations and circle all similar ones that each of you had. • Share out with the class to choose the top three for the year.

  6. Homework: • Re-read syllabus online and parent letter. • Marshmallow Challenge writing • Please get the parent letter signed and brought back by Thursday, August 14th! • Have a great day 
