ALLIGATOR BOY By Joel Overton & Bethany Lester
Chapter 1 On the edge of a tiny village, on a giant mountain in the middle of America lived a boy called Toby, a small boy aged 9. Walking to school, Toby was thinking about being the most popular boy at school but then a horrifying bully came running over to him blurting out horrible things about poor Toby. Toby was so poor that nobody ever liked him not even the strict teachers at school liked him. Unhappy, Toby ignored the terrible bullies. When he had nearly reached home a great storm approached so he legged it the rest of the way to his warm, dry cottage. 1
Chapter 2 The following day was a Saturday. Toby had just woken up. He looked at the plain, black clock, which was on the battered bedside table, then suddenly he gasped for it in order to get a closer look. It said 9:55 so he'd over slept. He still needed to do his 10:00 walk in the old, dark forest. So he sprinted down the broken stairs while putting on his old, battered coat. Toby's grumpy Great Grandfather yelled from the tiny bedroom” Where are you going?” “ I am going up to the forest,” Toby replied. “ Ok, but be careful Toby and be back by 12:30,” declared the great grandfather while coughing madly. 2
Before you new it he was gone and was walking happily through the dense Forest. Then suddenly Toby tripped over a massive piece of marble and ended up in a mysterious millpond, which he never had noticed before. ”Where am I?” Toby asked himself. After that Toby saw a flash of green. ”Whose there? Shouted Toby. Then he saw a long, green, spiky tail whip past his face! two shinning amber eyes starred into Toby's blue eyes. Finally the whole creature appeared! ITWAS AN ALLIGATOR!!! So Toby rushed out of the lake screaming and shouting. He tripped over a tree stump (which he had managed to jump over last time.) and landed flat on his face. 3
Toby thought he had escaped. But then he could feel the alligator's warm breath on his back. He could feel sweat running down his fore head. Finally Toby saw the alligator's broken tail. It was in tatters. Toby took pity on the alligator so he carefully took it back to the village with him to help him. When all the villages first saw him and the alligator they screamed and scattered in all direction. The next few weeks past by and the alligator was massive now because he had been eating all the small farm animals. 4
Chapter 3 The following morning they held a meeting in the village hall, at 9:05. Everybody was there including Toby. (who normally isn't aloud to go to meetings.) Suddenly the judge stood up .The hall went silent. ”hands up all in faver of this viscous alligator to go to the zoo”. All hands sprung up, except Toby's. But then Toby suggested ”Why don't we keep him in a strong, metal cage and I'll only let him out when I'm around. I will also feed him and give the alligator water to drink. Not only that but also I will buy everything he needs.” “ok” The judge announced." We will keep the alligator” 5
Chapter4 So after several weeks the alligator grew gigantic. “GRANDDAD, GRANDDAD" Toby exclaimed. Granddad lay motionless on the cold wooden floor. Toby immediately swiped the rusty old phone and swiftly tipped in 999.He asked for the ambulance. “can we help sir.” the lady asked from the other end of the phone. Yes you can my granddad is on the floor my address is 20 apple green road OLD ROMMER NW4 9DG 6
