Stato dell’arte • La chirurgia refrattiva può essere eseguita in età pediatrica • Indicazioni limitate alla UHM o alle gravi anisometropie intrattabili con metodiche tradizionali • L’obiettivo è ridurre l’anisometropia e facilitare il trattamento dell’ambliopia (nell’adulto il goal è eliminare gli occhiali) • È necessario sottolineare l’ineludibile ruolo del trattamento antiambliopico • Le complicanze a breve termine sono sovrapponibili o addirittura minori rispetto all’adulto • Può essere eseguita in anestesia generale
