Competency 015 Numbers and their Properties Commutative property= El orden de los factores no altera la suma o el producto. Ejemplo: a + b = b + a 2 + 3 = 3 + 2 Suma 2 x 3 = 3 x 2 Multiplicación Associative Property= El orden de asociar las sumandos o los factores no altera el resultado. Ejemplo: (a + b) + c = a + (b +c) (2 + 3) + 3 = 8 ó 2 + (3 + 3) = 8 (2 x 2) x 3 = 12 ó 2 x (2 x 3) = 12

Suma = 2 + 0 = 2 Multiplicación = 2 x 0 = 0 Distributive Property= Se puede sumar y después multiplicar o multiplicar y después sumar: a ( b + c) = (a x b) + (a x c) 2 ( 2 + 3) = (2 x 2) + (2 x 3) = 10
