Developments since March (last Offline week) • Memory consumption monitoring of the pp • Direct storing of files (w/o opening) to the reference storage (use StoreReferenceFile) • pp can request to skip the retrieval of DCS datapoints if not needed for certain run types (implement ProcessDCS) • Run type is visible in ML monitoring Status of the Shuttle Framework - Jan Fiete Grosse-Oetringhaus

Developments since March (2) (last Offline week) • Test modes for the full test setup (see next slide) • Storing to the Grid decoupled from pp • pp stores locally • Shuttle copies files to the Grid afterwards (eases crash recovery if Grid is offline) • Streamlining of return codes (Store functions + pp Process)  Implies intervention of subdts, to be followed up Status of the Shuttle Framework - Jan Fiete Grosse-Oetringhaus

Nightly tests • Nominal physics run • 3 special run types (requested by subdts) • PEDESTAL_RUN, GMS, LED • 7 test runs in different “test modes” • Skip DCS processing • Simulate DCS error • Simulate FXS database error (cannot retrieve sources) • Simulate FXS file error (cannot retrieve file) • Simulate OCDB retrieval error • Simulate local storage error • Simulate grid storage error In this runs the pp should fail, if not there is an implementation problem! Related Tasks • HLT DA still not ready  update on status “promised” after Easter • DAs major issue (update from Sylvain) • None is working • TOF, SPD are most advanced • SSD, SDD, HMPID are working on the DA, but the progress is unknown • TPC is reacting • AliRoot BITS does not compile since months Nobody seems to have the energy to really follow this up...
