About Special Interest Groups • Participation is voluntary and complimentary • Currently six SIGs in organizational & functional areas • Contract Property • Federal Property • State and Local Government • University, Colleges and Other Non-Profits • Property Inventory • Excess Property and Disposition

  5. What is the NING site? • New platform for SIG discussion forums. • Interactive forum that integrates with social media.

  6. Why Change? • Previous forums had limited capabilities. • NING site offers more flexibility to expand our SIG program.

  7. Additional Features • Discussion forums with search capabilities • Polling • Resource pages • Email SIG group • Event posting • Chat feature • Accessible via mobile apps

  8. What about the old forums? • The previous forums will remain active in view only mode.

  9. Getting started

  10. 1. Sign up at http://npma-sig.ning.com/

  11. 2. Enter email, password, and verification word.

  12. 3. Enter profile information and press Join button.

  13. 4. Click SIGS menu. 5. Select the SIG you would like to join.

  14. 6. Click the Join button.

  16. Discussion forums for asking and replying to questions and comments.

  17. Discussion Forums Add Discussion View Topic “Like” Topic Reply View Responses

  18. Resource pages for accessing reference documents.

  19. Resource Pages View links to available resource documents for your SIG.

  20. Events listing for events that are related to the SIG program.

  21. Events View events related to the SIG program.

  22. Send message option to email all members of the SIG.

  23. Send Message Send an email to all members of your SIG.

  24. Invite button to invite new members to the SIG.

  25. Invite Invite new members to join your SIG.

  26. Chat feature to communicate with other members that are online.

  27. Chat Click on a name to have conversations with other members that are currently online.

  28. Polling feature available from the Home page to start and answer polls with real time results.

  29. View a Poll From the SIG Home page, click View Results.

  30. Start a Poll From the SIG Home page, click View VoxBox. Click Add New Poll

  32. Search feature to lookup information on a specific subject.
