UPDATE • The NITC Presidential Permit was signed on March 29th by the State Department. • MAP -21 – the following actions completed or underway • Guidance on NHPP, STP, and ER • NHS design Standards • Value Engineering • Buy America • Interim HISPeligibility • HISP reporting • High Risk Rural Roads • State safety data systems

UPDATE COND’T • Interim guidance on accelerated environmental decision-making • Final rule on CEs in emergencies • NRPM on CEs in operational Row and projects w/ few Federal funds. • Process for development of National Freight Network • Guidance on Increased Federal share of freight projects • Draft State freight advisory committee • Draft State freight plans • Special permits during emergencies • FR notice for input into P3 model contracts • Interim guidance on major project finance plans • The Chairman of the House T&I Committee has established a Freight Panel.

  4. UPDATE COND’T President’s 2014 budget relates to infrastructure.  As part of this program is a Fix-It-First Program for FHWA for $27 Billion.  $2 Billion of these funds are for Border TIGER Grants – Another round of TIGER Grants has been announced by the Secretary of Transportation.
