  7. Discuss Discuss the need for a school uniform. One of the most important functions of a school is to keep students safe. A school uniform helps the school community to do this by making students instantly identifiable, enabling staff to quickly distinguish between children who are students of the school and children who aren’t. However, it is not the most secure way of establishing identity; an intruder who is wearing the school’s uniform or something similar could easily go undetected.
