  10. PROGRAMA: Doctv • Es un programa de fomento a la producción y teledifusión del documental latinoamericano. Es un modelo pionero de coproducción, teledifusión y distribución de documentales, sistematizado a partir del concepto de operación en red. • Sus objetivos fundamentales son: el estímulo al intercambio cultural y económico entre los pueblos iberoamericanos; la implantación de políticas públicas integradas de fomento a la producción y teledifusión de documentales en los países de la región; y la difusión de la producción cultural de los pueblos iberoamericanos en el mercado mundial. • Doctvfinancia la realización de los proyectos seleccionados en cada país. • Acerca del concurso a nivel latinoamericano: La selección de los documentales de Doctv Latinoamérica se realiza a través de concursos nacionales, mediante la presentación de proyectos inéditos. • La RED DOCTV LATINOAMÉRICA es una alianza estratégica de autoridades audiovisuales y televisoras públicas, actualmente conformada por 16 países latinoamericanos: Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, Puerto Rico, Uruguay y Venezuela. • Unidad Técnica - DOC TV, Quito, Ecuador
