  1. Charles Darwin [Placeholder!]

  2. [‘Nother Placeholder] • Darwin was born on February 12th1809. • He was a naturalist and geologist, however he is best known for is contributions to evolutionary theory. • Darwin wrote “In his On the Origin of Species,” and “The Descent of Man.”

  3. [Need a Placeholder?] • Darwin’s theory of gradual evolution contradicted the, somehow, accepted idea of the divine act of creation occurring in only six days. • He also challenged the biblical notion of humans being above animals when he suggested in his theory that humans had likely evolved from animals. • Placeholder?

  4. Well there isn’t one here… Adapt • Darwin’s theory gained support, however it was used mainly to combat religion. • Darwin’s theory inspired biologist Thomas Huxley to combat Christianity and it’s beliefs while calling himself “Darwin’s bulldog.” • He called himself another man’s dog… [Just say you’re a bitch and walk away...]

  5. To answer Lameiro… • Darwin’s theory of evolution stated that all living beings have evolved from simpler forms of life through natural selection. Though when people today think of Darwin they think of human exclusive evolution from apes and or fish. • Darwin would probably be a bit upset that people have incorrectly interpreted his theory and have done so to such an extent that the misinterpretation is considered to be common knowledge…[He’d probably see if they could adapt to a drop kick]
