  3. Introduction Horses are incredible animals. They are mammals. They drink milk from the mother. They can sleep standing up. They are good racers.

  4. Eating A horse eats hay and grass. They eat little pellets to survive the day. They eEatapples to be healthy. When a horse is born it drinks it mother’s milk.

  5. Danger Horses’ predators are bears, mountain lions, coyotes and wolves. They kick for protection.

  6. Growing Horses are born alive. When a horse is born it does not have hooves. The little horses are called foals. A young female is called a filly. A young male is called a colt. Horses are born in springtime.

  7. What they look like A horse has a mane. A mane is hair that goes down their back. It is important to clean a horse. A horse has long legs.

  8. Living Horses live in barns and fields. They live in a lot of places. They live in meadows. They can live all over the world. Wild horses do not get shelter.

  9. Interesting Facts A zebra is a type of horse. Horses can sleep standing up.

  10. Poem Horses are special. Often roll in the mud. Running and galloping here we go. Soft and long mane. Excited to pay.
