  2. Jade Emperor God’s Birthday (Thni Kong Seh) • Fall on the ninth day of Chinese New Year. • Celebrated by the Hokkiens Community.

  3. Hungry Ghost Festival (Phor Thor) • In the seventh month of the Chinese Calendar. • Many makeshift altars and stages put up along various roads in Penang.

  4. Nine Emperor Gods Festival (Kew Ong Yeah) • Falls from the 1st to the 9th of the 9th Chinese Lunar Month. • There are a lot of ceremonies since the eve of the nine days.
