Today’s Session • Purpose:to guide participants through the selection of KPIs and the creation of a customized KPI Dashboard. • Objectives: At the end of this course participants will be able to: • Identify metrics which correlate to business objectives • Create a customized KPI Dashboard to monitor business objectives • Email dashboards on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis
Lesson 1: Objectives • At the end of this lesson participants will be able to: • Locate reporting and decision-making metrics in standard Dashboards • Discuss and define your company’s key performance metrics
Standard Dashboards in Analytics • Overview: Access to pre-built module arrangements is offered for the following areas: • Commerce • Competitive Benchmarking • Content • Design • Key Performance Indicators • Marketing • Products • Real Time Data NOTE: Availability of standard Dashboards varies by industry.
Custom Dashboards in Analytics • Custom views allow you to: • Compare KPIs to historical and/or industry benchmarks • Utilize visualizations to enhance reporting and context • Create anchor pages and navigational starting points • Zoom into modules for deeper investigation and analysis • Prioritize areas of concern • Receive compilations of datasets via email on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis
Lesson 2: Objectives • At the end of this lesson participants will be able to: • Build custom Dashboards in Analytics • Print, download, and email Dashboards
Building a Custom Dashboard • Step 1:Identify Dashboard • Name your view, ex: Daily Marketing Dashboard • Categorize your view, ex: Team, Department, or User • Step 2: Add Modules • Select 2 or 3 column view, then drag and drop up to 5 modules into each column • Step 3: Set Metrics and Dates • Specify same or prior-period timeframes and set titles • Step 4: Save and Distribute • Use the Share icon to grant visibility to others • Download, Email, and/or add the Dashboard to Workbooks for convenient access
