Birds Fish • Live in different bodies of water • Have thin muscular bodies • Arecold-blooded • Most fish breath using gills • There are three classes of fish… • 1. Class Agnatha(jawless fish): these fish have no jaws • 2. Class Chondrichthyes(cartilaginous fish): these fish have a body made out of cartilage • 3. Class Osteichyes(bony fish): these fish have a body made of all bone. Most fish are boney fish. • Known for their ability to fly • Have feathers that serve many functions for the bird such as, • 1. allowing the bird to fly • 2. provide protection • 3. provide waterproofing and insulation to keep them warm. • Are vertebrates • Spend part of their lives living underwater and the remainder on land • Are cold-blooded • There are three orders of amphibians… • Urodeles(newts and salamanders • Anurans (frogs and toads) • Caecilians(worm-like gymnophiones:has a long snake like body) Amphibians • Reproduce by laying eggs • Birds do not have teeth.
