  2. FBLA at Swansboro High School… • Swansboro High School use to have a very strong and well known Future Business Leaders of America program. • It faded over the years and became inactive. It was brought back a few years ago and is looking to make a roaring comeback. • This year we are “Bringing Business Back!”

  3. What is FBLA? • The oldest and largest national organization for preparing students for careers in business and skills that are useful in all field. • FBLA prepares students for “real world” professional experiences.

  4. What do we do in FBLA? • FBLA provides members with the opportunity to… • Travel • Compete in over 50 competitive events. • Earn Scholarships and Prizes • Leadership Development • Community Service Experiences • Make New Friends and Network

  5. What trips are we doing this year? • Saturday, December 13, 2014 • Central Region Leadership Conference • Monday, Wednesday, April 13 – 15, 2015 • NC FBLA State Leadership Conference • Monday – Thursday, June 29 – July 2, 2015* • National Leadership Conference

Officers: • If you were an officer two years ago or were hired as an officer last year, you can retain your position. • Besides that we are not going to have anymore officers for the 2014-2015 school year. • You do have the opportunity to run for officer for the 2015-2016 school year at the end of the 2014 – 2015 school year.
