  1. Reliable Bonding with AAC Block Jointing Mortar AAC blocks are widely utilised in both residential and commercial structures. While it is acceptable to use conventional mortar for these blocks, manufacturers recommended AAC block jointing mortar for best results. It has been discovered that the combination of AAC blocks and regular cement mortar result in lower construction quality. This is due to their mismatched properties. The cement mortar is too heavy and doesn't have insulation properties. Thus, the overall thermal insulation is compromised. The AAC block jointing mortar is better because it is a special adhesive made from cement, lime, sand, and other polymers. Sometimes, fly ash is also added in the formulation. This jointing mortar is formulated exactly to bond AAC blocks. It is reliable because it can maximise or provide the promised advantages of building with AAC blocks. Here are some more advantages of AAC block jointing mortar compared to conventional cement and sand mortar. Thinner adhesive Traditional mortar usually needs to be 8-12 mm thick to join blocks. Meanwhile, this specialised adhesive only has to be just 3-4 mm. This is 75% thinner than the traditional mortar. This also implies that you will save some cash and labour time on buying, transporting, and applying this thin jointing adhesive. Less water consumption The best brands of AAC block adhesives are self-curing. They don't need water for curing. Hence, water consumption is reduced, as well as construction costs. Moreover, cleanliness in the site can also be maintained. Faster construction time Construction workers typically spend a lot of time mixing cement and sand mortar thoroughly and ensuring that the raw materials are properly proportioned. These make their work harder and longer. To speed up construction time, manufacturers of AAC block jointing mortar create ready-mix materials. Workers only need to add water and mix them up a little. After a short while, they can start applying and joining AAC blocks.
