  2. Rational • The Masters T&F Committee expenses related to the outdoor meet has risen to about $25,000 per meet. Additional spending unlikely to increase entries over historical levels. • Travel and lodging is the major barrier when an overnight stay and air travel is necessary to compete.

  3. Proposal for 1500 Entries • Why select Wake Forest: • Drivable from NY Metro, DC Metro, Philly, Atlanta, Cleveland, Pittsburg and Central Fl. • LOC is led by Visitors and Vacation Bureau with the expertise and funding to partner with MTF.

  4. Nuts & Bolts • Need 300 additional entries • Six per Association • Identify people who have not attended previously: • Association Masters Chairs • Clubs • National Senior Games • Bring a Friend

  5. Carrot • Comp entries from LOC • Association Grants • Club Grants • MTF Committee grant program • Fund Run using race walk course • Welcome Package • Free Saturday night dinner tickets • Special recognition during meet

  6. $ Funding $ • $100 per Association $5,000 • MTF Committee $2,000 • LOC $3,000 • Fund Run $1,000 • Total $11,000
