  4. Challenges • Physical Resources • 40 x station computer laboratory • 12 x station simulator laboratory • 10 x 24 Seater classrooms (fully fitted) • Library resources

  6. Challenges ……continued • Placement of students (navigation / deck) • Projected S2 numbers for 2012 is 65 (including repeats) • Currently 27 x S3 students require training berth • Approximately 15 students with an incomplete S3 / S4 at home

  7. Challenges ……continued • Failure to meet enrolment plan • Poor Mathematics and Physical Science marks • 2012 target was 96 • Actual enrolment 83 • 45 Sea-going and 38 shore-based • Limited bursaries
