The national tasks of the Ministry of Defence Regular tasks: Tasks that belong to the standard civil tasks Structural Tasks: Tasks of supporting civil authorities based on legal and management agreements. Tasks on request: Tasks that when needed and requested are granted in case of military support or assistance.

  3. Developments • CMFA/ICMC • Defence: From “safetynet to a structural safety partner. • Cooperation in the field of: • IT-support • Joint cooperation • Joint training • Scientific research • Cooperation in the safety regions • Guaranteed use of Defence capabilities

Defence puts great effort in both fields Knowledge and skill are very useful in crisis control, also on national level Use of military force nationally is mostly incidental and short term. Additional manpower and resources are funded Additional costs of the use of military force will be settled Personel and equipment come from recovering and training units
