Although small it has great potential • Bible critics say: “A wild orchid seed is smaller than a mustard seed” (Didn’t Jesus know that, they question?) • Yes…in this context the Greek word sperma (seed) refers to an agricultural seed, not a wild seed…garden vegetable

  10. Lessons from the Mustard Seed • 6. Mustard seeds are proverbial for something small • Example of a proverb- “That person is as wise as an owl.” • Matthew 17:20- “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, move…and it shall move”
