  4. COMPANY OVERIEW ASMO North Carolina, Inc. has experienced astounding growth since production first began in 1989. In 1993 and 1997 two satellite facilities, AMT and AAC, were added to our corporation to meet demand and provide opportunity for increased production. • ASMO North Carolina employs over 800 people in three plants. • Total production output is over 16 million motors per year. Savings $8500/year • Air Permit # 6369R15 – New Air Permit Issued on 3/28/03 • Air Permit # 6369R16 – New Air Permit Issued on 2/03/04 : K Blower Stator Line added to permit. • GS & K Blower Stator using charcoal filter instead of external exhaust due to potential of relocating stator lines.

New Goal: 80% Reduction of ANC Total VOC Air Emissions 2nd Qtr. 2001: Due to Koshu, Paint line modified racks were modified, thus reducing spacing on line, improve productivity eliminated need for 2nd Shift. 2002 to 2003: 31 to 28 tons, Slight change in VOC tons. 2004: Added 7697 lbs propane usage to VOC’s Formaldehyde increased 200 lbs. Substances/Products to be Reduced / Eliminated (Table 4): ANC New Goal : 70% Reduction in Toxic Chemicals RX-611 In April 2003,Formaldehyde increased due to this added reported chemical in RX-611 Molding Compound. In 2004, changed Brake Cleaners. Castle Brand Contained PERCHLORO - ETHYLENE In 2004, Lead and Toluene usage continue to decline. ELIMINATED Castle Brand FORM.-B BRAKE CLEANER TOYOTA BRAND DOES NOT CONTAIN CHEMICAL

New Goal: 50% Reduction of Natural Gas Usage ANC, AMT, AAC - Natural Gas / Propane Usage: CO2 Emissions MAINTENANCE CUTS OFF SPACE HEATERS WHEN NOT IN USE SEMI-ANNUAL PM PERFORMED ON NAT’L GAS BOILERS & OVENS • 2004 05 - Energy Committee searching for Gas Reduction Options. • Facilities looking at different Gas Suppliers.
