Design studio 4 • Imagine an elementary school classroom in which every desk has a built-in, sizeable tablet and the teacher has an electronic whiteboard at the front of the classroom • Design an educational software application that uses these facilities to enable the teacher and the students to better interact and, thus, hopefully help the students learn
Design studio 4 • Intriguing possibility: what if parents, at home, can also make use of the new educational software to assist in the learning process?
Design studio 4 • This is a group exercise • Due Friday Dec 14 • 15 minute presentation • written report
Grading criteria • Comprehensiveness of the eventual design • what does it do? • what does it look like/how do the teacher and students interact with it? • how does it work/what is its architecture? • Design process • which design techniques did you use? • what evidence is included in the report?
