Use Cases • Provide GIS access to Engineering Users • Extract for View Only • CAD users with any Bentley (MicroStation-based) product can view or reference the GIS features • Extract to Modify and Post • CAD users use Bentley Map to create GIS compatible features • Features are then posted back to a Version in GIS • Requires permission from the GIS Administrator • Supports Domain lists from the GIS schema

  3. Select GIS Features

  4. Name File

  5. Select Area

  6. Get feature data from GIS now, or in the future?

  7. File is initially empty, because we chose not to process yet

  8. Process Now

  9. File is locked to prevent user access while it is being populated from GIS

  10. Note completed file size

  11. GIS features can now be utilized by MicroStation community

  12. Bentley Map provides access to Feature attributes
