Four-Phased Membership Selection Process Education Session • Attend an education session on Friday, September 7th from 1:15 -2:30pm or 4:00 - 5:15pm in RBT 256 • Learn the basics of stock analysis Stock Idea • Prepare a one-page stock memo outlining your best long or short idea • Email to miirecruitment@gmail.com on September 12thby 10:00 PM Conversation • Schedule a 10 - 15 minute conversation with an MII Manager (September 14th through September 16th) • Learn about each other, discuss your idea and ask questions • Attend at least 60% of meetings • Exceptions for Analysts, Associates and Managers who have legitimate time conflicts (talk to Rob) Involvement

Professional Events • MII will sponsor a stock pitch competition for all students within the Universityaround UVA’s Investing Conference • Featuring industry professionals for judges and thousands of dollars in prize money • Kyle Bass, Managing Partner of Hayman Advisors, to teach a Value Investing 101 class to MII • Institutional Investor Magazine’s investing competition • Make buy, sell or hold recommendations backed up with written materials and judged versus peers and industry benchmarks • The results of the competition will be publicized in the magazine • MII-sponsored networking events with major financial institutions
