North American Land Change Monitoring System Land Cover maps and data allow scientists to show changes to North America’s environment such as urbanization and forest fires. The trinationalNorth American Land Change Monitoring Systemwill help track these changes on a regular basis. This fall, a new map of 2009 land cover data will show change hotspots compared to 2005.
