Purpose of the Interview Tracking Workbook • The Interview Tracking Form Workbook is used to • enter the Interview Tracking Form and • format the data entered for Epi Info.
Using the Interview Tracking Workbook • The data from the Interview Tracking Form is entered into the Enter Information spreadsheet. • The values for the Interview Tracking Form are detailed on the bottom of the Interview Tracking Form used by the Data Collection Team.
Data Entry Example Values entered as y/n Values are entered as an X
Formatting the Data For Epi Info • Once data collection has been completed and all the Interview Tracking Forms have been entered the data needs to be formatted for Epi Info. • To Format the data click on the button on the Instructions spreadsheet. • A macro will be activated that will create a new spreadsheet called Epi Info.
Epi Info Spreadsheet The spreadsheet looks almost identical to the Enter Information spreadsheet, only the labels for the columns have changed (to be compatible with Epi Info).
Importing into Database • Once data collection and data entry are complete you can create your STEPS database. • The STEPS database has automated programmes that perform a variety of functions, including importing the information from the Interview Tracking Spreadsheet into the database.
