  9. Cooling and ventilation NEW FACILITIES Existing ventilation and cooling facilities were dedicated to WANF area (separated from SPS ones). They are out of order and cannot be refurbished or upgraded. Air ducts : inspection next week + decision Timescale : Final spec. required in April’10 for start of activities in Nov’10 Design parameters: direct cooling or via exchanger, water type, power, DP, Pmax, T° range, DT°,… To be addressed : dew point, under pressure, safety mode (urgent access, smoke removal,…) Evacuation exit : overpressure = additional & redundant units WP : 4 WU’s identified

  10. Transport • 4 WU’s Identified: • PR532 repair: VIC + work procedure done. Work in W46&47 • Special tooling studies (automatic hook-study in progress,…) • WANF dismantling • T1 dismantling (TBC) • Resources management (ALARA) • First estimate: team of 6 crane drivers / 20 people involved • Remote camera’s: existing system (4 units)

HiRadMat: EDMS and drawings Required drawings • EDMS : https://edms.cern.ch/nav/CERN-0000079274 • The view of the TNC tunnel : top and side, indicating the T9 target height and the decay tube. • A sketch of the TNC tunnel, the decay tube and the downstream V0 pits – just distances would be sufficient. • A zoom (top and side view) of the foreseen irradiation area indicating the distance from the T9 target front shielding • A general 3D view of underground +surface areas (TNC-TCC6 and TT61 + shaft and BA7 + crane, elevator and BA7 door)
