  1. SS7G1 The student will locate selected features in Africa. • a. Locate on a world and regional political-physical map: the Sahara, Sahel, savanna, tropical rain forest, Congo River, Niger River, Nile River, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Victoria, Atlas Mountains, and Kalahari Desert. b. Locate on a world and regional political-physical map the countries of: Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire), Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Sudan.

  2. Africa Map Instructions • POLITICAL MAP • Label all cities and countries with black or blue ink or colored pencil • Color each REQUIRED country a different color so they will stand out • Be neat! • Be accurate!

Africa Map Instructions • PHYSICAL MAP (COLOR THE BIOMES FIRST) • Label all bodies of water and landforms with black or blue ink or colored pencil • Color deserts yellow • Color (lightly shade) the SAHEL orange • Color (lightly shade) the RAIN FOREST green • Color (lightly shade) the SAVANNAH red • Colorrivers and lakes blue • Color mountains brown
