2 0 0 6 U N I V E R S I T Y O F I L L I N O I S RON Zook FOOTBALL CAMPS 7-on-7 Shootout June 17, 2006 Team Camp June 19-21,2006 High school teams are encouraged to enroll in the Ron Zook 7-on-7 Shootout. The Shootout brings together over 100 teams from several states for a day of intense and enjoyable competition. High School teams (entering 9th through the 12th grades) may attend the Ron Zook Team Camp. Team camp is designed for your coaching staff and team to receive a head start on the preparation for the 2006 football season. Sessions throughout the day will include 7-on-7 play, drills, and scrimmages. Coach Zook and the University of Illinois coaching staff will also hold breakout sessions for each position for instruction and drills for individuals participating in the team camp. Lineman Camp June 17, 2006 The Lineman Camp, scheduled in conjunction with the 7-on-7 Shootout, provides an intense learning opportunity for offensive and defensive linemen. Athletes entering the 9th through the 12th grades may participate in the 2006 Lineman Camp. Offensive linemen study fundamentals in run and pass blocking, while defensive linemen focus on defeating run blocks, pass techniques, and pursuit. Padded Camp June 21-22,2006 Athletes entering the 9th through the 12th grades may attend the Ron Zook Padded Camp. Campers have a total of four total practice sessions receiving instruction from the University of Illinois coaching staff and other highly qualified coaches at all levels. Players will be separated into positions of their choice and drilled in fundamentals. Quarterback Camp June 17-18, 2006 High school quarterbacks have a tremendous opportunity to receive instruction from Coach Ed Zaunbrecher who has coached several top collegiate and NFL quarterbacks. Fundamentals such as ball handling pass drops, throwing mechanics, and mental toughness will be covered in the two-day camp. Junior Illini June 23, 2006 Specialist Camp June 21-23, 2006 Athletes ages 8 to 13 are encouraged to attend the Junior Illini camp. Campers do not wear helmets or shoulder pads; instead, players are schooled in the fundamentals of the sport through a variety of enjoyable drills, games, and contests. Athletes entering 9th through the 12th grades may attend the Ron Zook Specialist Camp.
