  3. How are citizens engaged? • Small community – politicians tend to be present and seen • Community forums • Time to Talk • http://timetotalk.act.gov.au/about-time-to-talk/ • Community noticeboard • Canberra Connect • To make complaint, feedback, etc

  4. Promotion of Community Indicators • ABS • NATSEM • ACT Government through Linkage grant (ended 2009)

  5. How are Community Indicators being used or applied? • Measuring our Progress used for planning ACT wide • Feeds into “The Canberra Plan: Towards our second century” • Small area data used for planning

  6. How assess current development/future prospects for Community Indicators? • ACT is excellent base for Community Indicators • Small, compact • Potential for broader region – eg, to Coast • Canberra Urban and Regional Futures • Interest was there in past • Regional Dimensions Linkage Grant • Is potential for future but nothing yet • CURF Regional Plan
