Class Agnatha: Silver Lamprey • Scientific Name: Petromyzonmarinus • Common Name: Silver Lamprey • Enviorment: Silver lamprey (parasitic); found in the Mississippi River and Chippewa, Embarrass Rivers. It feeds on carp, catfish, walleyes, northern pike, suckers, sturgeons, and paddlefish. • Interesting Extras: • Special Talent: One lamprey can upset and ecosystem by eating 40lbs of fish in its lifetime • Favorite Food: Fish Blood • Global Reputation: River services often set traps to kill lampreys

  3. Class Chondricthyes: Mantaray • Scientific Name: Manta birostris • Common Name: Mantaray • Environment: Marine Enviorments • Interesting Extras: • Favorite Food: Small Fish and Plankton • Size: Can weigh up to 3000 lbs! • Weird: These rays do not have a stinger

Class Osteichthyes: Clownfish • Scientific Name: Amphiprionpercula • Common Name: Clownfish • Environment: Clownfish live at the bottom of the sea in sheltered reefs or in shallow lagoons, usually in pairs. • Interesting Extras: Clownfish and Anemones • Clownfish have a special relationship with the anemone. They clean the anemone by eating the algae and other food leftovers on them. • They protect the sea anemones by chasing away polyp-eating fish, such as the butterfly fish. • They have a special mucus covering which keeps them from being stung by the anemone.

Class Reptilia: Chameleon • Scientific Name: ChamaeleoZeylanicus • Common Name: Chameleon • Environment: Tree dwelling creatures that are usually found in Africa and Madagascar. • Interesting Extras: • Favorite Food: Any types of insects • Moody: Chameleons change colors depending on their mood and surroundings. • Special Talent: A chameleon can extend its tongue more than 50% of its body length!

Class Aves: Flamingo • Scientific Name: Phoenicopterusroseus • Common Name: Flamingo • Environment: Flamingos live near bodies of water with high salt concentration • Interesting Extras: • Favorite Food: Shrimp • Beauty Secret: Flamingos get their pink color from eating shrimp • Special Talent: Flamingos often stand on one leg but no one knows why 

They find their food on the ocean floor but they play, socialize and groom on the ocean surface. • Interesting Extras: • How Bout That Hair: Sea otter fur is the finest of any mammal, consisting of 850,000 to 1 million hairs per square inch. Sea otters depend on these hairs to keep them warm. • Greatest Fear: If a sea otters coat gets contaminated by a foreign substance it will no longer be able to regulate its temperature and it will die. • Favorite Food: They eat clams, mussels, urchins, crabs, and fish. They must dive to capture their food, sometimes up to 250 feet
