Impact of new media on Journalism Positive: • Use of Social Media. • Citizen Journalism becoming more popular ( Websites such as Kettle Mag allow articles to be posted by pretty much anyone, also Word press and Blogger are popular platforms) • Sites like this allow aspiring journalists to publish and distribute their work to a wider audience. • No longer the need to find a publisher, you can be your own editor. • Online Journalism can be distributed straight away rather than waiting for it to be printed
