Mr. Anderson Example of Civil Rights Project
Who is Mr. Anderson? • Thomas A. Anderson • Aka. “the one” • Aka. Neo • Works as a computer programmer for Meta Cortex • Learns about the “alternative world called Matrix” through computer hacking activities
Mr. Anderson Continued • Neo is contacted by Morpheus (terrorist of the Matrix) • Neo is captured by Mr. Smith for contacting Morpheus and implanted with an electronic monitoring device Mr. Smith works to protect the Matrix and the virtual world from Terrorists like Neo and Morpheus
Neo’s Choice • Remain in the “matrix” (fake virtual world) • Or • Learn about the Matrix, have the monitoring chip removed, and meet with Morpheus
Neo’s Decision • Remains to learn about the Matrix • However, Morpheus is attacked and taken hostage by Mr. Smith IN REAL LIFE! • Neo goes to rescue Morpheus, but is killed by Mr. Smith • Neo is still alive in the Matrix, and when he is kissed by Trinity his body is revived.
