Key Club Leaders: Club Level MEMBER – As an active member, performing service is your main duty! You should attend service events and serve your home, school, and community. In addition, you may be a task or event coordinator EDITOR – Create and distribute a club newsletter/bulletin; write and submit articles to the district. TREASURER – Find fundraisers; ensure that club dues get paid; manage general budget and club funds
SECRETARY – Take minutes and attendance at meetings; fill out and submit the MRF VICE PRESIDENT – Assist all officers; overlook/lead committees; help find service projects; keep in touch with Kiwanis club; serve as a liaison to the members PRESIDENT – Host club meetings; provide members with education and service opportunities; lead the club
Division Leadership LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR – serve all the clubs in the division; liaison between district and division; Lt. Governors and Region advisors make up Region Team ASSISTANT – Assist LTG in serving the division TASK COORDINATOR – lead a task or event for the division
District Leadership EXECUTIVES – Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Technology Editor APPOINTED – News Editor, Communications & Marketing, DCON, Kiwanis Family & Foundation, Member Recognition, Member Relations, Policy, International Business & Elections, Service Projects
BEEing a Leader No matter what position you hold, you can be a leader within your club and community through service. Remember that “leadership” is one of Key Club International’s Core Values!

COMMUNICATION Improve your public speaking through practice and confidence Use correct tone and loudness Speak to the back of the room Make eye contact Use proper grammar Be polite, prompt, and professional Address adults with Mrs. Mr. or Ms. Respond to communications in a timely manner

Learning from your mistakes is what makes you grow! If something doesn’t work out, reflect on it and think about what you can take away from it Learning moments define your leadership and help you become a stronger and more knowledgeable leader
Working with a team doesn’t mean doing it all yourself Learn the art of delegation Trust others with tasks to lighten your workload and to help them grow as leaders Work with the team by sharing ideas and logistics before finalizing a plan Your team is there to help you, so let them!
