  4. The sign of Immanuel A shaken heart Isaiah 7:14

  5. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14

  6. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will eat curds and honey and when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste. The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah-he will bring the king of Assyria.” Isaiah 7:14-17

  7. Now the house of David was told, “Aram has allied itself with Ephraim”; so the hearts of Ahaz and his people were shaken, as the trees of the forest are shaken by the wind. Isaiah 7:2

  9. Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, “Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.” But Ahaz said, “I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.” Isaiah 7:10-11

  10. At that time King Ahaz sent to the King of Assyria for help. 2 Chron 28:19. He (King Ahaz) offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him. 2 Chron 28:23a

  16. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

  17. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, Yet we considered him stricken by God, Smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, And by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5

  18. What can I give to the King on Christmas? • Give Him a heart…That’s open up wide • Give Him a life that’s got nothing to hide • Give Him a love that’s sincere and true
